we believe music should not happen “over there” on a distant stage, but right here—in the center of us all.
Our name carries a dual promise. First, the O represents you, our audience, forming a living circle of presence. The Point is the music at the center, where we sit as violinist and pianist, not to perform at you, but to create with you. By breaking the traditional barrier between the gallery and the stage, we transform the concert into a shared origin. In this space, the music belongs to everyone; it is a meaning we craft together in the same breath.
Secondly, the O is our Origin. Based in Zurich, our ensemble is a laboratory for the new. We work hand-in-hand with living composers to premiere works that find new ways to explore sound. We don’t just play pieces; we concrete new experiences where the composer, the performer, and the listener meet at the exact same point of inspiration.
